What to do with the file
- Close your music software, then open the installer you downloaded and follow it. It installs the Audio Unit (for Logic Pro and GarageBand) and the VST3.
- Close your music software. The Windows download is a zip: right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Copy the folder Widget Compressor.vst3 from it into
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3(type that into File Explorer's address bar). Windows asks for administrator permission: choose Continue. If an earlier version is there, choose Replace the files in the destination. There is nothing to run; the zip's How to install file has these steps too. - Open your music software. Most find a new plug-in when they start; if yours does not, rescan plug-ins. Widget Compressor is in the effects, under George Ergemlidze.
